Vernon 'Binge' Farmer Obituary

Graveside services for Vernon "Binge" Farmer age 90, of Athens will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Union Cemetery at Crossroads. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mr. Farmer died Monday at East Texas Medical Center in Athens. He was born August 4, 1926 in Corsicana to Dalton Edward Farmer and Lillie Mae Seal Farmer. Mr. Farmer was retired from Curtis Mathis where he worked as supervisor and also retired from the U.S. Army.

Mr. Farmer loved to have a garden each year to share most of it with his neighbors and friends.

Mr. Farmer was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Truman Farmer, Morris Farmer, and Keith Farmer. He is survived by his wife Mary Lee Farmer, a grandson Jason Knott and three step-daughters June, Carol and Diane.

Condolence calls will be received from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Friday at Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
