Tamra Estes Grubbs
Our beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, Tamra Estes Grubbs, went to rest in the arms of Jesus on February 1, 2020 in Tyler, Texas. She was 53 years old.

Tamra was the oldest daughter of Larry Don and Fran Estes of Trinidad and knew without a doubt that having them as parents was one of her greatest blessings. They loved her and faithfully took care of her until the day she died.

Tamra lived in Trinidad almost all her life. She was the salutatorian of the Trinidad High School class of 1984 and was always an excellent and accomplished student. More importantly, she had so much fun creating memories with cousins and friends who remained fiercely loyal throughout her lifetime.

She was so many things to so many people, but her most favorite and eagerly anticipated role was being a mom. Dylan William Thompson first made her a mom in 1995, but he earned his angel wings soon after. God sent Hannah Nichele Thompson into her life in 1996, and her precious Haven Grace Thompson was her miracle baby in 2002. She had the added blessing of being called "Mama" by Riannon, Meranda and Ellie Grubbs for several years. Being a mom became even grander when Dillon Wesley and Colby Ray made her a Gigi.

Although she may not have realized it, she was THE BEST big sister to Tanya Norris and husband, Vincent, Eric Estes and Kaylee Sims and husband, Darren. She absolutely adored her nieces and nephews, Nicolas and Maci Estes, Cameron Norris, and Brazos and Brenham Sims.

A funeral service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Trinidad on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., with fellowship at the church immediately following. Pallbearers will be Ethan Thompson, Kevin Fitzgerald, Jason Fitzgerald, Ray Ray Crocker, Jerry Keith Stanfield, Dewitt Loven, Bobby Fletcher and Mikey Warren. Todd Weaver, Chaplain and former classmate will officiate the service.
We have felt so much kindness, so many prayers and so much love, and that is more than enough to honor Tamra. If you feel you must still do more, please love a little harder and laugh a little more. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinidad Cemetery Association or the Trinidad Alumni Association.
