Athens - After a lifetime of service and love, Susan Sharp entered her heavenly home on September 19, 2025. She was born on November 23, 1955 in Fort Worth, TX to William and Nancy Stricklin.

Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Ronnie Sharp, son, Ronald Sharp, II, and fiancé Cynthia, sister, Linda Milam and husband Richard, niece Carrie Neitzel and husband Jay, siblings-in-law: Virginia Hilton, Paul Sharp, Johnny Sharp; best friend, Stephanie Roberts, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends that she considered her grandchildren: Chris and Sarah Tinsley, Patrick and Laura Tinsley, Chad and Meagan Crowell; as well as Amelia Tinsley, Sean Tinsley, Liam Tinsley, Quinn Tinsley, Willow Tinsley, Bishop Mclauchlin, Sutton Mclauchlin, and Benton Mclauchlin.

Susan and Ronnie started dating when they were 15 years old, they were soulmates and spent their lives enjoying each other's company. Susan loved others and above all loved her family and Ronnie. She showed this in her years with Genisis Hospice and throughout her everyday life. Always willing to lend a hand, Susan showed us all what it means to have a Servant's Heart. Her hobbies included: travel to the beach to soak up the sun, fishing with Ronnie, her knitting, and just enjoying life.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents as well as her special grandmother, Lydia Palmer "Grandma P".

Pallbearers are Norm Jennings, John Warren, Chris Tinsley, David Braswell, Jay Eckert, Paul Flinder and Butch Boyd. Honorary Pallbearers are Susan's beloved Genesis Hospice Staff.

Funeral service will be 2pm, Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Lake Athens Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life reception will take place immediately following the service at the church's fellowship hall. Mrs. Sharp will be laid to rest at Sparkman Hillcrest Cemetery in Dallas at 11 am Friday, September 26, 2025.
