Robert Lawrence (Larry) Beeman was born December 25th, 1937 in Dallas, Texas, to Bob and Frances Beeman. Larry graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1956 and SMU in 1961, with a BSME. He married Susanne Stemmons in 1961, had 2 sons, Bobby and Michael, and 1 daughter, Shelly. He married Beverley Robertson in 1982 and moved to Athens. He worked in the metal building industry and computer programing for over 30 years. Larry was the director of Athens Chamber of Commerce and finished his career as director of 911 for Henderson County. Larry was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens. He was an adult Sunday School teacher and served on several committees. He was active in the Rotary Club, serving as president and he loved to play golf. He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, 1 daughter, 2 stepsons, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on September 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Athens. Memorials can be made in Larry's name to First Baptist Church Athens or a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.

Mrs. Beeman , thought of you not long ago when passing where your business was. So sorry about Mr . Beemav he was a nice man and I loved the time I worked for y’all . Hope you are doing ok.
