Minnie Ellen Rampy Anderson passed away from her temporary, earthly home to her home in Heaven on January 29, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Minnie Ellen was born in Corsicana, Texas, August 16, 1945, the only child of Homer and Margaret Rampy. She attended grade school and high school at Cayuga. She attended Sam Houston University at Huntsville, Texas. Minnie Ellen graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in May 1966.

After graduating from college, Minnie Ellen served as County Extension Agent at Laredo, Texas. She later relocated to Waco, Texas and worked several years for the Methodist Children's Home - Boy's Ranch. She moved later to Western New Mexico and worked as an insurance agent and as administrator of a local university. Then she renewed a friendship with Herbert Anderson and they were married March 2001. Minnie Ellen and Herbert lived for a time in San Antonio, Texas. They attended the Baptist Church at Bandera, Texas.

They moved to Oklahoma in 2003 and had a wonderful, busy life. They traveled extensively in their motor home and went on several cruises to many distant parts of the world.

Minnie Ellen was an extremely happy person and spread fun, remembrance and admiration wherever she went. She was an accomplished pianist and played for her church and several school concerts.

Minnie Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Homer Rampy. She is survived by her husband, Herbert and her cousin Rita Rampy. Minnie Ellen was a beloved mom of two step-children, Larry Anderson of Stilwell, Oklahoma and Cathy Duffie of Larue, Texas, ten step-grandchildren and eighteen step- great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Minnie Ellen Anderson age 76, of Edmond, Oklahoma will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Bethel Cemetery in Cayuga with Pastor Edwin Bowman officiating. A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
