Miguel Melendez Ramirez, 65, passed away on February 21, 2021. He was born on October 27, 1955 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Ramon Ramirez Rodriquez and Mercedes Melendez Gonzales.

He married Nancy Jean Sims on August 3, 1985. He worked for Seismic Energy Products in Athens, Texas, for 15 years. Miguel Ramirez was a friend, husband, father, brother, and the most giving and kind person you could have ever known. He passed too early for his time, but the time he had was full of love for everyone he met. If you had a chance to spend time with him, he was a funny man and had an intoxicating laugh that filled the room with joy. What he loved most was his family. You will never be forgotten; Until we meet again.

Miguel is survived by his children Miguel Ramirez, Jenny Engle, and Jessica Marie A. Ramirez; grandchildren Angel Ramirez, Victoria Ramirez, Michal Anthony Ramirez, Ramon Ramirez III, Antonio Ramirez, Joleah Martin, Franky Ramirez, and Matthew Cobb; brothers Ramon Ramirez and Soccoro Ramirez.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Moorhead Funeral Home in Gun Barrel City, Texas. Chaplain (CPT) Fritz Hager, Texas State Guard, officiated for the Ramirez family.
