Graveside services for Martha Louise Maurer, 84 of Athens, formerly of Slocum, will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2022 at Strong Memorial Park in Slocum. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mrs. Maurer was born March 12, 1937 in Denson Springs to Almer E. and Mary Alice (Franklin) Carter. She passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Dorothy Mae Gage.
She is survived by her husband Robert Lee Maurer; daughter Robbin Van Hook; son Bryan Keith Hoffman; sister Doris Davidson; brothers James Clifton Carter and Danny Glen Carter, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
