Larry J. Airheart gained his wings on August 10, 2019 in Corsicana, Texas.
He was born December 22, 1941 in Trinidad Texas on the Bradley farm to Buster and Helen Bradley Airheart. He graduated from Trinidad High School 1960 and attended HCJC. He was active in the US Army and was a member for the Trinidad Volunteer Fire Department for numerous years. He married Sidney Ruth Josey on July 1, 1966.
He worked for the City of Trinidad, Texas Power & Light, TXU, TechServ and as well as other companies. He enjoyed working on the family farm, woodworking, yard work, operating heavy equipment and helping anyone in need.
Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years Sidney, his sons Kevin, Shong and his wife Mary, Mike and Eric Airheart and his wife Julie and daughter Larra Green and her husband Rocky, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he truly adored, his sisters Laura Smiley and husband Geoffrey and Vicki Rolison and many other family and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Buster and Helen Airheart and brother-in-law Bennie Rolison.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday August 13 from 6-8pm at Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens. His services will be on Wednesday August 14 at 2pm at the funeral home, burial to follow at Trinidad Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to either the Trinidad Ex Students Association at PO Box 583 Trinidad, TX 75153 or Trinidad Cemetery Association at PO Box 205 Trinidad, TX 75163.
The family would like to extend their thanks for all the calls, texts and visits over the past few months of Larry's illness. In days to come, Sidney loves cards, please drop one in the mail to PO Box 608 Trinidad, TX 75163.
