Athens - Judy Hines Quitta, a beloved wife, mother and friend, entered her Heavenly home on September 20, 2025. She was born in Beaumont, TX on June 26, 1946, to Ray and Lucille Norvell Hines. She graduated from Lufkin High School in 1965.

Judy had a special talent for working with her hands. Over the years, she became known for her beautiful wreaths, her skill with painting and various craft projects, and the countless creations she made on her Cricuit machine. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper, roles in which her diligence, honesty and organization touched many lives. Whether at work or in her craft room, she gave her best with a grateful heart.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, brother Mike, son Jason and granddaughter Cheyenne and unborn great grandson Reece.

Left to cherish her memory is her Husband of 38 years Wes Quitta, sister Carolyn Weaver, sons Kyle and wife Ginger, Bo Quitta and wife Abby, daughter Knycie, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to say a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital that took care of Judy in her last days.

A memorial service to honor Judy will be Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2pm at Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens, TX. A visitation will be held before the service from 1-2pm the same day.
