Athens - Judith (Judy) Marian Nichols, 79 of Fort Worth, Texas, was born on October 13th, 1946, and passed on Friday July 10th, 2026.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon 'Nick' Nichols. She is survived by her brother Jim Albers, sons Scott (Nicole) and Kevin (Kate), and grandchildren Tamara, Ainsilie, Paul, and Julianna.
Judy graduated from Wisconsin State University and went on to teach elementary education in Texas and Louisiana. Judy retired with her husband to Athens, Texas where she was an active member of Athens First Methodist Church. She moved to Fort Worth after her husband passed to be near her sons and family.
She will be missed by her family and those who knew her.
A celebration of life will take place at Athens First Methodist Church located in Athens, TX on Saturday July 18, 2026, at 2pm.
