Johnny Ray Clements
Services for Johnny Ray Clements will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11am at First Assembly of God in Eustace, Texas with Pastors Jonathan Lilley and Floyd "Buddy" Hyden officiating. Graveside service will follow at Payne Cemetery in Eustace, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel in Mabank, Texas. Johnny was born on September 15, 1951 in Chincoteague, VA to parents Jesse Rayford and Filomena Rose (Degennaro) Clements and entered into eternal rest on October 29, 2018 at the age of 67. Johnny graduated from John H. Reagan High School. He was self-employed as a Master Electrician for 35 years, as he owned and operated Johnny Ray Clements Electric and Instrument Service Corporation. Johnny married the love of his life, Janie Hyden, on October 11, 1969 at the Trinity Chapel in Austin, Texas. Johnny was a man that everyone loved, he never met a person he could not talk to. He was known as "Johnny Ray" to his family and friends. Johnny loved mentoring in his field of work and enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball. He loved spending time with his family, keeping up with friends and his biggest passion was fishing. He enjoyed barbequing on weekends and was known for his famous gravy. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns and Nascar, Jeff Gordon being his favorite driver. Johnny has season tickets and loved going to the track. He also enjoyed going to the beach and going deep sea fishing. Johnny was a great story and joke teller and could hold an audience. Johnny built his house himself with his family. He was a part of Overcomers at the Christian Life Center, a member of First Assembly of God in Eustace and was a cook for the Men's Breakfast. Johnny was an amazing husband, father, paw paw and brother. He motived and lifted up everyone who knew him. He will be missed tremendously by those who knew and loved him.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Janie Clements of Payne Springs, daughter Laura Hamann and husband Dennis of Rockwall, son John Paul Clements of Kingwood, grandchildren; Brandon Hamann and twins Jessica and Elisabeth Hamann, brother Philip Clements of Chandler, AZ, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
A subsequent Celebration of Life Service will also be held in his memory at a later date which will be announced by his family. The family prefers that flowers be brought to the Celebration of Life Service if guests plan to attend both services.
