George Hightower Obituary

George Hightower, 67, was called to his eternal resting place on March 16, 2022.

He entered this world on February 20, 1955 in Trinidad, TX, born to George and Celestine Hightower. George was a 1974 graduate of Trinidad High School. He retired from Malakoff ISD after serving the district for 42 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife Jackie Hightower, parents George Eubank Hightower, Celestine Hornbuckle, and brother Ira Lee Hornbuckle.

His legacy lives on in his loved ones that survive him; his daughter Tarsha Hightower, son George M. Hightower, brothers Michael Hornbuckle & wife Vickie, Anthony Hornbuckle & wife Barbara, sisters Linda Hightower Bell & husband Wayne, Sylvia Paul, Vera Harvey and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 25, at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff.

Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26 at First Baptist Church, Malakoff with Zachary Jackson and Kedrick Graves officiating. Interment will be in Steen Cemetery. George's nephews and cousins will serve as pallbearers.
