Dorothy Waitman was called to her eternal resting place on May 3, 2024. She entered this world on February 6, 1947 in Saint Clairsville, OH, born to Lazo and Catherine Chorvich.

Dorothy was a member of Payne Springs United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lazo and Catherine Chorvich, brothers George Chorvich, Arthur Chorvich, and sister Mary Kotlarchik.

She is survived by her husband Dan Waitman, sister Jane VanDyne, nieces Kristin Parisi and husband Anthony, Suzanne Duncan and husband Scott, Karen Chorvich, Marta Chorvich, nephew Carl Kotlarchik and wife Karen, great-nieces and nephews Bradley, Catherine, Dominic, Victor and wife Tong, Garrett and wife Cassie. She is also survived by the many children she hosted over the years Kate Nagyova, Rodrigo Yanho, Jake Haaning Andersen, Freya Kuhr, Manuel Pereira, Santiago Ramati, Phillipe Pegado, Hanna Chunna, Carlos Silva Rivas, and Fabian Vannebo, and so many great friends that can't be counted.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests to please make donations to Payne Springs United Methodist Church or Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake.

Service for Dorothy will be held at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and service will begin at 11:00 a.m.
