Deborah Sue Hoeser (Debi) Obituary

Larue, TX - Deborah (Debi) Sue Hoeser passed away

peacefully surrounded by her family on

Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at her home in

Larue, TX at the age of 74. Debi was born on

April 28, 1951 in Houston, TX to Sue A.

Holmes and AJ Buchannan. Debi married

the love of her life, Thomas Hoeser in August

of 1969. Tom & Debi lived in the Houston

area where they had their first daughter,

Carmen. In 1976, after having their second

daughter Kristin, they relocated to Athens,

TX- where they have resided for almost 50

years.

Tom & Debi have served at multiple

churches in the area leading worship and various Bible studies. Debi was a loving wife,

mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She

is best known for her love, kindness, hospitality, beautiful smile and being a witness for

Jesus.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years

Tom, daughter Carmen & her husband

Brandon Swaim (Longview) and daughter

Kristin & her husband Chris Hawkinson

(Houston). Grandchildren include Lexi

Stewart & her husband Aaron, Zoe Swaim,

Hayden Hawkinson and Abby Hawkinson.

Great-grandson is Jeremiah Swaim and

great-granddaughter Kinley

Stewart(expected in March). Surviving sisters include Sharon White, Denise Pope, Lisa

Crane and Danna Gonzales. She is preceded

in death by her mother Sue Hoeser, stepfather Sam Hoeser, father AJ Buchannan,

grandmother Ora Watson and grandfather

Clint Watson.
