Athens - Deborah "Deb" E. Jackson was born on July 6, 1949, in Athens, Texas, to Buren and Geraldine Burnett. She peacefully completed her earthly journey on August 8, 2025, and was joyfully reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Jody Jackson.

Deb was preceded in death by her parents, Buren and Geraldine Burnett, and her husband of many years, Jody Jackson. Though she has gone home, her loving legacy continues through those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Melissa Davis, and her husband Mike; her son, Matthew Jackson, and his wife Keisha; her loving sister, Sharon Coston, and husband Ronnie; and her dear brother, Phil Burnett, and wife Joanna.

Deb was a proud and loving grandmother to Chelsey Winningham and husband Luke, Terry Davis and wife Mischele, Justin Davis, Mattie Jackson, and Little Matthew Jackson. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her great-granddaughter, McKenzie Winningham, who brought light and laughter into her later years. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Deb.

Professionally, Deb was a dedicated and respected member of the Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative (TVEC) family, where she worked faithfully in the accounting department for 53 years. Her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and warm spirit earned her the admiration and appreciation of colleagues across the organization.

Outside of work, Deb was known for her love of shopping, always on the lookout for a good deal or the perfect gift for a loved one. But above all, she cherished spending time with her family. Whether gathered around the kitchen table or celebrating life's big and small moments, Deb's presence was a source of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love.

Deborah Jackson was a woman of strength, grace, and unwavering loyalty. Her love for her family, her commitment to her work, and her enduring faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation was held Monday evening August 11, 2025, from 5-7 P.M. at Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. Graveside services were held Tuesday August 12, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens with Bro. Jason Driskell officiating.
