Athens - A Celebration of Life will be held on June 14, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Springfield Methodist Church in Montalba, Texas.

Anita gained her Angel wings on Sunday May 4, 2025, in Tyler, Tx at the age of 74.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Lorene Sims Price, son-in-law Daryl Wade Johnson and brother-in-law Ray Kidd.

On May 30, 1969, Anita married her high school sweetheart Ronny Alexander. They made their home in Athens, Tx. All she ever wanted was to have a family and spend time with friends. 35 of those years she worked for the Athens Daily Review.

Anita and Ronny had a daughter Lisa Jones and husband Jimmie and a son Tommy Alexander and wife Christy.

She had eight grandchildren, Cade Alexander, Sarah Evans, Dakota and Stephanie Johnson, Charity Meadows, Christian Hilton, Jeannie and Brad Johnson, two great granddaughters, Zella Alexander and Evelyn Johnson. Her grands were her pride and joy.

Sister, Marilyn Kidd, niece Jennifer Bright and Jared Fitzgerald, nephew Garrett Bright and fiancé Alyssa Ramirez, niece Courtney King and husband Chad, Jacob King and Brittany King. Brother, Terry Price and wife Sharon, nephew Russell Price and fiancé Melissa Brocks, niece Tiffany Partain and husband Christopher, Aubrey Partain and Abigayle Partain, brother-in-law, W.L. Alexander and wife Roxanne, niece Elizabeth Alexander and fiancé David, nephew Mark Alexander and wife Rebel.

Anita loved to grow a garden and plant flowers year-round and loved to read. There are some very special ladies that have meant a lot to Anita throughout her life and have been there through births, birthdays, anniversaries and deaths. You each had a very special place in her heart and meant the world to her. Rhonda Garcia, Charlotte Green and Rosanna Ingram.

The family would like to extend special thanks to East Texas Hospice of Tyler for comforting our mom and Nina in her final time of need.
