Memorial services for Willie Mae Johnson will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Providence Baptist Church in Tool, Texas.
Willie Mae Johnson was born Sept. 5, 1930, and was a resident of Tool, Texas, and passed away on Thursday,, May 12, 2016. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Billy Wayne Johnson; daughter, Cyrena Rae Johnson and her parents, William Thomas White and Gertrude Mae Ford White, also from Tool, Texas. Also preceeding her in death are her brothers, Oran White, Moody White, Odell White and Dean White, and sisters Gladys Faye Huckaby, Anna Beth Grissom and Opal Louise Morgan and her cousin, Peggy Killian. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Robin Johnson Flippo and husband, Billy. She has three grandchildren, Felicia and John McKinney, Michelle Selman and B.J. and Jordan Flippo. She was blessed with nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of a Providence Baptist Church in Tool, and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She retired from Cedar Creek Bank, was an avid bowler and a Lifetime Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies' Auxiliary in Seven Points, Texas. Mrs. Johnson loved to help in her community with the local food pantry, and enjoyed working with the local Meals on Wheels. She is loved, and will be missed by many.
