Marian Kerbs Rands passed from this life on January 23, 2017. She was 91. She was buried in Asbury Cemetery, Edom, with Chandler Memorial Funeral Home attending.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM January 26th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Athens, with Bishop Bill Bridges officiating.
Born June 22, 1925, to Mary Gladwyn Briscoe Kerbs and Daniel Harold Kerbs. She was the oldest daughter in a family of eleven children.
Marian was married to Ray Carbine Rands in 1947 and they had a loving marriage of 57 years. They had three sons and four daughters.
Friends and family will remember her for her lovely hand-made dolls, ceramics, paintings, and other creative expressions. She was an excellent cook, a caring friend, and an avid reader.
Survivors include five of her children: Robert Rands of Callender Lake, Margaret Rands and Rebecca Rands-Eisenhauer of Athens, Connie Buckley of Escondido California, and Carolyn Rands Taylor of Allen, Texas; Brothers Melvin Kerbs, Spokane WA; Sam Kerbs, Deer Park WA; Sisters Nora Woods and MaryJoan Carson of Spokane WA, Gladwyn Collier of Selma CA; 28 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was much loved and will be missed.
