Leon M. Huff Jr. age 92, passed away on March 5, 2017 in Tyler Texas. He was born on May 21, 1924 to Leon M. Huff Sr. and Aljurita Stinson Huff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Patrick Huff.
Mr. Huff served his country in WWII as a pilot. He later became a banker and was the Executive Vice President and President of several major banks. He was a farmer as well and enjoyed going out and working on his farm with his cows.
Mr. Huff was a loving and caring man. He loved his family with all he had and never missed the opportunity to let them know how much he appreciated them. Leon was a true gentleman and an example to those around him of how to treat people with kindness. Leon was a man of great faith. He will be greatly missed by his family and his friends.
Survivors include the love of his life for 28 years, Bobbie Huff, of Malakoff; Daughter, Pam Belz of Dallas, Son, Kameron Smiley and wife Lisa of Plano; grandchildren, Duane Huff of Moore, OK, Billy Belz of Dallas, Halee Belz of Dallas, Bryson Smiley of Plano, and Ashton Smiley of Plano.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of East Texas Home Place.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in the Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Mankin Cemetery.
