Julie Hunger Lively, age 54, of Palestine, entered eternal rest with Jesus on Monday, April 3, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Gainesville, Texas on July 27, 1962 to Marion Alma Hunger and Sybil Ann Adams Hunger. Julie was a very caring and generous lady who enjoyed giving to others. She was a loving grandmother to her granddaughter Zoey. Julie loved her family very much. Her wit and outgoing personality made her loved by all. She retired from TVCC, as Director of Financial Aid in 2015, after working there for 27 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Alma Hunger and Sybil Adams Hunger.
Julie is survived by her daughter, Katy Gilcrease of Palestine; son, Charlie Lively and his significant other Sara Bryant of Tyler; sister, Jenny and husband Terry Edwards of Palestine; granddaughter, Zoey Gilcrease; nieces, Anna and husband Thomas Johnson, Amber and husband Kyle Demel, and Angela and husband Chance Chapman all of Palestine; great nephews, Caleb Johnson and Luke Demel; and many friends.
Funeral services for Julie Hunger Lively will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Jordan Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Elkhart. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rhone Funeral Home in Palestine.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Lively, Keith Lively, Terry Edwards, Mark Talbert, Micah Roe, and Van Tooley. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Lively, Thomas Johnson, Kyle Demel, and Chance Chapman.
