Janis's Story

Janis Kaye Miller, 65, of Murchison passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born August 20, 1951 in Mauldin, Missouri. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Eddie Miller, her children, Daniel Hayden Jr., James William Lawler, James Miller and wife Sylvia, Mark Miller and wife Monica, Carmen Loya and husband Eddie, Dawn Emerick and husband Mark, her brothers, Ray Smith, Glen Smith, Max Smith, and Eugene Smith, her sisters, Lou Baggs, and Sharon Evans, as well as 20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Kathleen Smith, three brothers and one sister.
Janis loved all of her grandchildren and enjoyed singing and having a little fun with karaoke. She had a beautiful voice and was an excellent cook. She was a special person and will be missed dearly.
Pallbearers will be Garrett Lawler, Justin Lawler, Steven Ramirez, Mark Emerick, TC Carter, and Chris Nemeth. Honorary pallbearer will be Trey Hayden.
Visitation for Janis will be held at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 5:00P.M.- 7:00 P.M. Services will be at 10:00A.M. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home; burial will follow at Red Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O.
