Long time Murchison, Texas resident Euella Carter, age of 86, passed away early Sunday at the Hospice Homeplace in Tyler. Euella had been in ill health over the last seven months, and is now at peace with her Lord. She left a legacy of love and appreciation of all things lovely. Her life was filled with family, art, service to community/others, collecting, quilting, stained glass, entertaining and gardening.
Euella is survived by her loving family: husband, Royce J. Carter; their daughter, Donna Carter Newcomb; grandsons and their spouses Dustin Carter and Cheryl Newcomb and Gordon Bryce and Molli Newcomb; great-grandchildren Jet Newcomb, Evan Newcomb, Clayton Badawi, and Mayzi Newcomb; as well as her brother and sister, Billy Ray Rice and Patsy Rice Ferguson.
A memorial service for Euella Carter will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Athens on Friday, April 7 at 2 PM. First Methodist is located at 225 Lovers Lane, Athens, TX 75751
