Thuy 'Marie''s Story
Thuy "Marie" Emerine Clark left this earth Friday, January 5, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. Daughter of Án Thán La, and Lánh Thi Tu, Thuy was born July 13, 1951 in Thu Duc, Vietnam. A faithful wife, loving mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother, she loved spending time with her family, cooking large Vietnamese dishes, fishing, watching movies and gardening. Having grown up outside Saigon, Thuy Than La, or tweetie bird as her kids called her, moved to the United States in 1971 and resided in Malakoff, Texas and Trinidad, Texas for nearly 40 years. She was known for her illuminating smile, spunky sense of humor, immaculate garden and compassion for others.
Thuy was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister Snow Dipetrillo, and two brothers Long, and Nhing, in Vietnam. She is survived by her husband David Clark, kids Mady Calloway, her spouse Tony, grandkids Dylan, Malone, Ashley, and Myles Calloway; her son Scott Emerine, his spouse Joy Emerine grandkids Christopher, Seth and Luke Emerine; her step daughter Paula Clark, granddaughters Haley, and Heather Reich; step daughter Melinda Clark Green, grandsons Rick Green, and Brandon green. Thuy was also aunt to Linda Ahmad, Tony Dipetrillo and Johnny Dipetrillo. She also had ten great grandkids.
A firm believer in Jesus, Thuy prayed every day for her family, and volunteered when she could with the church when her kids were growing up. She supported the United Way when she was employed by Argon Medical supply in Athens Texas where she made many friends. After retirement Thuy, traveled all over North America with the love of her life David visiting some of the United States, and Canada's most breathtaking scenery. She loved adventures with David and discovering the next city's best Chinese buffet, dim sum and sushi restaurants.
A memorial service for Thuy Clark will be held at Hilltop Worship Center in Malakoff, Texas located at 920 E Royall Blvd, in Malakoff, Texas at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Friends and family are invited to attend.
