Private graveside services for Rosalie Bledsoe 92, Athens have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday June 15, 2019 at Oaklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Charles Parker officiating, under the direction of Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bledsoe passed away June 13, 2019 in Athens.
She was born March 2, 1927 in Avalon, Texas to the late Otto Benton and Lieuvennia Maybell Reynolds Creech. She was a member of Central Baptist Church since 1950. Over the years she held numerous offices and taught Sunday School. In the 60's Rosalie worked in the cafeteria for the Athens Independent School District and then worked for J.C. Penny in the credit and catalog department. She was past president of the Athens Art Club and had won many ribbons over the years for her art work. Rosalie volunteered often including the hospital and nursing home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth Bledsoe, 4 brothers and 3 sisters and grandchildren Matthew Bledsoe and Jennifer Price.
Survivors include her sons, Kenneth C. II Bledsoe and wife Charlene of Independence, Missouri, Russell Lee Bledsoe and wife Karan of Athens, brother; Bill Creech of Temple, Texas along with 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
No visitation is scheduled.
