Roger's Story

Roger Claud Richardson was born on December 20, 1971 in Henderson County and lived his entire life in the Baxter Community. He passed away on August 20, 2016 in Baxter at the age of forty-four. He is the son of Andrea Marte-Cepeda Richardson and the late Ronnie Richardson. He was a graduate of Athens High School. He later earned a Certificate of Completion in welding from Kilgore College. Roger was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Athens.
Roger is survived by his wife Sandra Richardson of Georgetown, TX, son Nicholas Allen Richardson of Athens, TX and daughter Jacqueline Leigh Richardson of Georgetown, TX; mother Andrea Richardson, brother and sister-in-law Russell and Diana Richardson, Athens; sister and brother-in-law Reina and Robert Duhon, Dallas. Uncle Larry and Aunt Louise Richardson, Uncle H.C. and Aunt Suella Clark; Aunts Bonnie Smith, Deanne Richardson, all of Baxter; Aunt Ana-Maria Hall; Uncles Tomas Miguel Cepeda, Antonio Cepeda, Francisco "Chico" Cepeda, all of Massachusetts; nephew and niece Robert and Rachel Richardson, Athens; numerous cousins and friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his father Ronnie Richardson; grandparents Claud and ArtieMae Richardson, Baxter; grandparents Lisandro Marte and Reina Amparo Cepeda; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, including his special cousin Michael Lee Richardson.
Roger was well loved by all his family and friends; he will be missed greatly.
A private memorial service will be held at the Davis Cemetery Pavilion, in Baxter on Saturday, Aug. 27th at 10:00 am. The service will be officiated by his lifelong friend and Pastor Jimmy Skiles of Gatesville, TX.
