Robbie Louise Caviness Jones, 85 passed away March 6, 2018 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on December 30, 1932 in Franklin County, Texas to Allie & Birdie (Blackmon) Caviness.
Robbie was an avid learner (starting college when she was in her 70's) and teacher, giving of herself freely at every opportunity. She was gracious and diplomatic, believing that everyone deserved kindness. Family meant everything to her.

The ocean and the sound of the waves was her happy place. Mother loved the Hill country, and could ride the back roads forever, even the not a wine drinker. She loved to dance, draw, and write poetry and short stories.
She worked as a Legal Secretary, teacher of special needs students and a proofreader/editor for a small publishing house.
She is survived by her brother, Jerry Caviness of Ben Wheeler; sister, Linda Morris of Athens; daughters, Michelle Gunstanson and Joelle Otha, both of Athens; granddaughters, Sophia Cruz of Midland, Sarah Cruz of Athens, and Emma Cruz of Larue; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her father, Allie Caviness; mother, Birdie Caviness; brother, James Caviness; husbands DeWayne Burnett, and J.W. (Bady) Jones.
