Services for Reta Tompkins will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Hilliard Funeral Home with Bro. Eugene Davidson officiating. A graveside service will follow at Prairie Springs Cemetery in Ben Wheeler. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 before the service on Monday.
Reta Ann Coffey Tompkins was born November 2, 1950 in Corsicana, Texas and passed away at the age of 65 on May 13, 2016 in Tyler. She had been a resident of Ben Wheeler for 21 years, formerly living in Brownsboro, and worked for Carrier Corp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Tompkins; mother, Belvie Evelyn Davis Coffey; and father, Lee Roy Coffey.
Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law, Mahlon & Gregory Johnson of Brownsboro and Jennifer & Kevin Kuhn of Ft. Worth; sister, Judy Shanks of Bedford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy Dee & Stacie Coffey of Brownsboro, and Jimmy & Denise Coffey of Ben Wheeler; four grandchildren, Dillon Blake Johnson of Brownsboro, Weston Lane Johnson of Brownsboro, Chloe Elizabeth Kuhn of Corsicana and Emily Tatum Kuhn of Corsicana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
