Norma's Story

Norma Jeanet Busby Boyd, age 76, of Athens passed away on August 9, 2016 in Tyler, Texas. She was born October 30, 1939 in Paris, Texas to Milton N. and Faye Williford Busby.
She served in the U.S. Army, the WAC's. Norma enlisted in the Army in 1968 and discharged April 13, 1972. She was an x-ray technician.
Survivors include one son William David Draper and wife Karin of Colorado Springs, Co. One brother Jerry "Buddy" Busby of Mentone, Texas. An Aunt Geneva Rodgers of Athens, two nieces Carolyn Tumlinson and Paige Jones of Athens, a nephew Jerry Tumlinson and wife Ange of Athens and numerous cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Vivian Tumlinson of Athens, Texas.
Interment will be at Pike's Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Co. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Henderson County Humane Society.
