Funeral services for Mickey Dean Crow 75, Brownsboro have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday September 27, 2016 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Bragdon and Rev. Bob Logan officiating.
He was born November 25, 1940 in Brownsboro to the late Gus Ross and Bernice Tidwell Crow. Mickey was a graduate of Brownsboro High School class of 1959 and Henderson County Junior College in 1961. The same year he married Martha Nell Worsham. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1962. He then finished his education at East Texas State University in 1968 where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Education. Mickey had an extensive career serving as Assistant Extension Agent for Anderson County from 1968-1970 and then moving to Fayette County and serving as their Assistant Extension Agent from 1970-1972. He then took over as the Extension Agent for Leon County serving in that capacity from 1972-1976. In 1976 he began his teaching career with Trinity Valley Community College teaching Ranch Management and operating the TVCC cattle ranch until his retirement in 1991. He then focused his full time attention to his own beef cattle ranch here in Henderson County. During his career Mickey served on many boards during his career he was President of the Henderson County Livestock Show Association, served on the Henderson County Appraisal Board of Directors, Beef Cattle Committee, Agriland Board of Directors and the Soil Conservation Board of Directors.
Mickey was preceded in death by his parents; Gus and Bernice Crow and sister; Jannie Parker.
Survivors include his wife Martha Nell Crow, son; Michael Crow, daughter; Michele Sanders and husband Stephen, 3 grandsons; Colby Sanders, Bryan Sanders and Jonathan Crow, 2 granddaughters; Donnell Crow and Michelle Ritterbach, sisters; Bobbie Luker, Bonnie Downs and husband Richard, Judy Carrington.
Pallbearers will be Bill Thompkins, Hamilton Leach, Stephen Sanders, Colby Sanders, Bryan Sanders, Jonathan Crow, Johnny Luker, Jackie Luker, Gary Carrington and Andy Parker.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
