Mass of Christian Burial for Linda Motl, 74, Murchison has been scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Thursday at St. Edwards Catholic Church with the Fr. Jonathon Frels officiating.
Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
A recitation of the Rosary will take place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel followed by visitation until 7:30 P.M.
Mrs. Motl passed away April 29, 2017 in Tyler.
She was born May 11, 1942, in Dallas to the late James and Dorothy Marlar Kelly.
Mrs. Motl was a resident of Murchison since 2005 and a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church. She loved gardening and canning and was a tremendous cook. Her greatest love was her family and she cherished the time she spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Pamela Ann Motl, grandsons; Shannon McNew, Jeffrey McNew and Jayden Motl, sister Carolyn Jean Kelly.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years Gary Motl, Murchison, sons; James Motl and wife Kimberly, New Braunfels, Shane Motl, Athens, daughters; Jeanne Sue Baker and husband Allen, Elkhart, Linda "Missy" Motl, Murchison, Sisters; Mary Lou Kelley and Sally Ward, brother; James Kelly, grandchildren; James Wesley Motl, Sean Motl, Pamela "Sissy" Motl, Noah Motl, Melanie Sampley, Eireland Motl, Kevin Thompson, Steven Thompson, Elizabeth Terry, Dustin Terry, Spring Baker, Allen "Bubba" Baker, great-grandchildren; Nala Baker, Teaghan Baker and Preslee Sampley and numerous nieces and nephews.
Knights of Columbus will serve as pallbearers.
