John's Story

John Caleb Costlow went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 3, 2016 in Austin, Texas surrounded by his family and friends.  Services will be conducted by Jason Bryant at 10:00 AM Friday, July 8th at The Evangelistic Temple. Interment will be at Tennessee Colony Cemetery under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
John was born August 23, 1977, in Tyler, Texas to Ann Winkel Brown and Gerry Costlow.   He was a 1995 graduate of Cayuga High School.  
John was self-employed and owner of Legacy Construction Company.  He loved spending time with his children, who were his greatest joy.  Another pastime, John enjoyed was hunting, fishing and camping with his Dad and Kole.  Kaitlin and her Dad loved drawing and raising horses.  John and his Mom enjoyed raising a heifer crop each year.  He enjoyed riding horses, working cows, and working on the farm with his Uncle Todd and late Papoo.  
John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, J. A. and Ernestine Winkel and paternal grandparents, Ross and Geraldine Costlow.  He is survived by his wife, Brianne Hutchison Costlow. He is also survived by four wonderful children Kaitlin and Kole of Athens and Chloe and Carter of Mineral Wells.  Also surviving him are his parents, Ann and Delbert Brown of Palestine, Gerry Costlow of Richland Chambers Lake; sisters, Mary (Mandy) Costlow Walker and Cortney Costlow LeGard of Tennessee Colony and four nieces and nephews.  He will also be missed by many aunts and uncles.  
Pallbearers will be Beau White, Wayne McMahon, Chad Brantley, Jes Satterwhite, Clint Satterwhite, Chad Sorrells, TC Costlow,  and Kevin Mattingly.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, at Herrington Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to the Anderson County Youth Livestock Association, P.O. Box 59, Palestine, TX 75802.
John will be greatly missed by many who loved him dearly!
