Jeremy was born on August 31, 1988 in Athens, Texas to mother Audrey Lewis and entered into eternal rest on July 10, 2016 at the age of 27.
Jeremy graduated from Trinidad High School in 2006 and joined the United States Army. He was a Sgt. and awesome NCO (non commissioned officer) and worked as a wheeled vehicle mechanic. Jeremy served in the Iraq War during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn. Everybody loved Jeremy, he had an infectious personality.
He loved being outdoors; camping and fishing. He was raised on fishing; his momma called him, "Her little tadpole." Jeremy was a great cook. He loved to BBQ brisket and would make his own sauce. Jeremy would even make buttermilk pie from scratch; it was delicious. He was the owner and operator of JR Lawn Care. Jeremy was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was a very loving soul and everyone who knew him was blessed. Jeremy will be missed tremendously by those who knew and loved him.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Hubert Alvin Lewis, uncle Perry Alvin Lewis, cousin James Alvin "Pudgy" Lewis and cousin Michael Joseph Recio.
He is survived by his wife of almost 8 years; Lucia Roden, mother Audrey Lane Lewis, cousin; who was more like a brother, Chris Recio, a host of extended aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
