In October 1943, a story began. The world was blessed by the birth of Jack Ray Fullwood. Throughout the chapters, Jack was full of life, compassionate, over-flowing with wit, and always at the ready for a game of horse shoes, a night of square dancing, visits with family and friends, or an afternoon watching the neighborhood on Murphy Street from his chair with his trusty companions. He proudly served his country during three tours in Vietnam with the United States Air Force and was a dedicated employee for Western Electric. The final chapter to his story was completed September 21, 2017.
Jack was preceded in passing by his parents, David Earl and Elsie Louise Fullwood, his sister, Debra Fullwood, and a brother, Max Fullwood. Jack leaves behind his devoted wife of 52 years, Delores, his daughter, DeAnndra, his son Jason and wife Misty, a brother, Mace Fullwood, and an inherited son, Michael "Big 'Un" Temple. Also forever missing him are his grandchildren: Taylor, Zoe, Kinley, Carson, AJ, and Libby along with countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will have a reception to celebrate the life of Jack Fullwood Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 2-4 pm at Living for the Brand Cowboy Church, 902 NE Loop 7, Athens, Texas. They request no flowers or food at this time. Memorial donations may be made to the Living for the Brand arena roof fund at:
