Isabel Ann Grymonprez 1929-2019

Isabel Ann Grymonprez 1929-2019 Isabel Grymonprez was born in Peck, Michigan to Roy Beers and Margaret Lett Beers on October 7, 1929. She was the youngest of seven children. Isabel, known to friends as "Isie", graduated from Peck High School with honors. After graduation, she worked for Yale Rubber Company in Yale, Michigan.
She met Richard J. Grymonprez at a street dance and they married in 1953. They had two children, Debbie and Richard Lee. They settled in Alma, Michigan where they raised their family. They later relocated to Fort Worth, and upon graduating from Tarrant County Community College, Isie moved to Athens. She worked as a legal secretary and had several hobbies, including walking, bowling, shopping with her friends, and supporting "her Cowboys".
A favorite pastime of Isie's was visiting her daughter in Florida - walking the beach and basking in the sun. She loved being in town with her son and daughter-in-law, especially when her granddaughters came along!! She was often seen at Athens Hornets sporting events with the family, cheering on her granddaughters. She is remembered for her twinkling blue eyes, bright smile, and charming ability to laugh at herself - not to mention her famous cinnamon rolls!!
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Athens, active in the Presbyterian Women. She attended First Baptist Church events with the family and later was cared for by Home Care Ministry of FBC.
Since 2014, she has been a happy member of the Arabella Community in Athens. She participated in a variety of activities and made many new friends, whom she cherished. They found her quick wit and sense of humor delightful.
Isie is survived by her brother, Burnell Beers of McKenzie, Tennessee; her daughter, Debbie Staudt of Venice, Florida; her son Richard and daughter-in-law Dorothy Grymonprez of Athens, Texas; and two granddaughters, Courtney Grymonprez of Houston and Catherine Grymonprez of Dallas.
A Celebration of Life will be at First Baptist Church on Saturday March 16, 2019, at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Sally Soup Ministry of First Presbyterian Church, Home Care Ministry of First Baptist Church, or Genesis Hospicecare of Athens. Arrangements by Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
