Graveside services for Geneva Taylor, 98 of Ft. Worth formerly of Athens have been scheduled for 12:00 P.M. Friday October 14, 2016 at Poynor Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.
Mrs. Taylor passed away October 12, 2016 in Ft. Worth.
She was born March 25, 1918 in Murchison to the late Joseph Clinton and Una Walker Hopson.
Geneva was a lifelong resident of Athens before moving to Jacksonville and then to Ft. Worth to be close to her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was a care giver to all. She was a very giving person that brought joy to so many lives. She loved her church and the Dallas Cowboys. She was passionate about her cooking and shared that with many, especially her fried pies which she loved to make.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack Taylor, brother; Obie Hopson, sister: Mattie Sue Gideon and daughter; Jackie Diane Rhodes.
Survivors include her daughter; Patsy Holman, Ft. Worth and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
No visitation is scheduled.
