Betty was born March 27, 1932 to Roy and Bettie Stewart in Athens, Texas, and passed away June 12 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She is survived by: her husband of 62 years, Leland, of Bossier City, Louisiana; son, Monte Parker and wife, Barbara, of Bossier City, Louisiana; grandson, Jonathon Parker and wife, Ciji, of Fairbanks, Alaska; grandson Jeremy Parker and wife, Karolyn of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Edward Lane Stewart and wife, Jackie, of McComb, Mississippi; sister, Mary Ann Moore of Fort Worth, Texas; and four great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the many friends in Athens for caring for Betty in her later years, as well as the staff at Bossier City Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Willis Knighton Bossier Hospital and Aime Hospice Care in Shreveport.
